Data Mining

The data analysis is used in cases, where the customer has a considerable amount of unprocessed measurement data. For example, the main parameters of an industrial process can be extracted for the further development needs of the process. A goal for the analysis can be even modeling of the process.

Typical areas of application for data mining are industrial processes, telecommunication applications and financial data analyses.

How the service is organised

To start a data mining project, the source data and the eventual documentation is needed. The next step is to define the actual problem, for which the result of the analysis is needed. In the beginning of each assignment we acquire the required information of the application area, either independently or in co-operation with the customer. This is necessary to prevent trivial or otherwise useless results.
After this, a MATLAB-tool is written to perform the analysis. Finally, the deliverable results for the customer consist of a report including the results of the analysis and the tools with their documentation.
