Signal Processing
Atostek's expertises in signal processing are good knowledge of signal processing methods and hardware implementations. The tools we use, are Matlab and Windows- development tools, like C++ Builder. The most demanding parts we implement by using the MMX- and SIMD -instruction sets of the processor, and symmetric multiprocessing (SMP). Signal processing is applied mostly in the first steps of product development process, where the design requirements are prepared. Particular signal processing tasks are algorithm design and analysis. The aim of algorithm design is to define a suitable method to solve a particular problem. Typically, Matlab can be used as a tool. In addition to the algorithm, the system architecture, boundary conditions and goal of the product development have to be required. The analysis typically consists of software prototyping to perform measurements and to make observations about the overall performance of the algorithm itself in combination with the chosen hardware. Based on these measurements and observations, the final application can be reliably designed. |
